To see an example of our commitment to excellence, please view our aircraft deicing operation in action at this link: https://player.Vimeo.Com/video/401377875About the Position:The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include:Supporting and abiding by the company’s Mission, Values and Purpose and instilling these qualities in all employees at the station; Promoting and adhering to our safety and respectful workplace culture and instilling this culture in the station employees while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance with all provincial and federal rules and regulations; Using financialcapabilities, drafting budgets, tracking station financials to targets and meeting financial goals; Ability to utilize weather forecasting resources to ensure adequate staffing during active weather events; Communication with senior management to advise of any facility issues or new airport/airline policies; Schedule and attend regular meetings with local airline management and meet with local airline representatives monthly; Respond to customer inquiries and requests immediately; Comply with airline contracts ensuring specifications are met; Perform stationaudits, provide information required for airline deicing reports and handle all airline FAA and Transport Canada questions/concerns as required using professionalism in all communications; Recruitment andretention, performance management, training, employee development and positive employee relations; Partnering withsupport functions including, EHS, Human Resources, Total Quality and Finance when situations occur; Take proper measures to ensure that aircrafts are de-iced/refuelled properly, and airline manual requirement are met by all aircraft deicers; Regular communication on airline manual updates to provide information to employees and coordinate on investigations of any security issues, accident reviews and be a part of the review and recommendation process for safety measures taken to prevent further occurrences.Perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request.Please Note: This position requires a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC), Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP) and a ROC-A (Radio Operator Certificate-Aeronautical) license.Qualifications:Interested candidates will have demonstrated expertise in the following required skills and experience:7 – 10 years of airline operational experience including but not limited to customer service, maintenance, de-icing operations, facility requirements and safety/regulatory requirements; Successful completion of post-secondary education in Aviation Management, Business Management or related field of study; Knowledge of regulatory and airline policies, warehouse procedures, operating station equipment, and aircraft handling procedures; Successful completion of IDS’s extensive de-icing training program which includes classroom and on-the-job training; Must have the ability to mentor and train personnel and management to accommodate future growth and expansion; Valid CanadianDriver’s License and driving record that meets Company insurance standards; Flexible schedule; Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and the ability to use Inland’s independent computer program “Ice Link – Aircraft Ground De-icing Management System”.Basic understanding of accounting management principles; Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret information, promote and execute ideas, prepare reports and presentations, lead groups and provide a foundation of open communication; Able to lead a team in meeting goals, identifying areas of strength and following through to be sure that deadlines are met, and success/failures are identified; Solid project management skills to include coordination of team, identifying and assessing project criteria, implementation of key tasks, communication and monitoring of progress and results, and managing to project completion with final results and outcomes being reported; Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers.

In this job, you can expect to “get your hands dirty” when you are leading your team in the hands-on operation of our aircraft de-icing, Glyvac and refueling trucks.
