We make our clients wonder why they didn’t choose us sooner.We are currently looking for a Director, Product Engineering to join our team.About the Opportunity:Reporting to the VP, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, the Director, Product Engineering will provide direction and leadership to the Product Engineering team, in an effort to continually improve our operations across all Inscape product lines and to ensure business continuity as it pertains to Bill of Material structures, tools utilized in product design, and all manufacturing equipment and process.Responsibilities & what you’ll be doing: * Provide leadership to Product Engineering team members in order to effectively serve the needs of the organization including new product releases, Specials, Value Engineering, Agile initiatives, Specials-to-Standard, Continuous Improvement, FQR and NCR resolutions; * Oversee all product engineering functions related to maintaining product structures, engineering documentation, NC Programs shop floor paperwork and the implementation of engineering releases; * Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure consistency across the organization with respect to the methods and processes utilized in the structuring of Bills of Materials; * Ensure that the most effective tools are utilized with respect to product design and NC programming; * Responsible for promoting and maintaining compliance to ISO 9000 and ensuring employees understand their role in ISO and how it relates to the work they do; * Assign projects, balance workloads and set priorities to meet assigned deadlines for both regular and special projects; * Set challenging and productive goals for the team and measure progress, providing guidance and support to achieve and exceed objectives; * Manage the Product Engineering managers to ensure the timely completion and success of cost reduction and other assigned projects; * Involvement in a variety of projects related to product engineering and continuous improvement.Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications* Professional Engineering designation required; * 8+ years of progressive Product Engineering leadership experience in a similar role, within a manufacturing and / or supply chain environment; * Working knowledgeof Solidworks and ProE; * Exceptional product management experience in a manufacturing environment; * Proven ability totranslate strategy into actionable plans and drive change and continuous improvement; * Extensive experience in managing large projects and operational teams; * Strong relationship management experience, consulting and negotiation skills and demonstrated evidence of influence at a senior level; * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present concepts and clarify concerns to various audiences; * Strong analyticaland problem-solving skills including the ability to assess a situation by gathering facts and evaluating data; * Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a time-sensitive environment and adapt to frequently changing priorities; * Demonstrated teamplayer with excellent interpersonal skills; * Ability to travelin the US and remote locations as necessary (5%).Like what you’re hearing so far, but still wondering if Inscape is right for you?
