Internal Communications ManagerLocation: Toronto
– HybridJob Summary:Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for creating the communication strategy that supports Li-Cycle”s HR and internal priorities.

Working with the HR and Marketing department, the Internal Communications Manager will develop consistent messaging to the organizations internal stakeholders and identify the appropriate messaging channels.

In addition, will ensure language and style is consistent with the overall employer branding as established by the Li-Cycle Marketing & Communications department.Our ideal candidate will be a driven individual with high attention to detail and organization, and a positive “can-do” attitude.Primary Responsibilities:Create communication campaigns and other initiatives to engage employeesUnderstand and align the HR business needs with the target audienceEnsure internal and external HR communications are aligned with Li-Cycles branding guidelines, corporate culture and valuesServe as the primary HR point of contact for website to ensure an appropriate focus on current and prospective employeesDetermine effectiveness and provide recommendations on internal communications strategiesEngage employees and promote participation in various company eventsManage internal communication methods, including leveraging HRIS, OneDrive and other systems/tools to be determinedJob Qualifications:A degree in Communications, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years” relevant HR experienceMastery of the English language in terms of both verbal and written communication skillsStrong skills in Microsoft OfficeExtraordinary attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building rapport and maintaining relationshipsExperience working in a large multi-national organization would be an asset; cultural sensitivity is a mustA proactive, energetic self-starter who can operate as part of a team or individuallyAbility to demonstrate good judgement and a high level or professionalismThe ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-paced dynamic environmentA high degree of professionalism and independence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience supporting a fast paced/rapidly growing cleantech, manufacturing or engineering environment an asset.Core Competencies:A hands-on contributor with a desire to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environmentAbility to deal with sensitive topics in a tactful, diplomatic and professional matter at all times.High-level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientationProactive self-starter with an ”owner”s mindset”Consistently delivers quality work on time, with a strong attention to detailStrong analytical, negotiation and creative problem-solving skillsExceptional oral communication, writing and editing skillsExcellent telephone and email etiquetteMotivated, methodical, and optimisticAbout Li-Cycle:Li-Cycle (NYSE: LICY) is on a mission to leverage its innovative Spoke & Hub Technologies™ to provide a customer-centric, end-of-life solution for lithium-ion batteries, while creating a secondary supply of critical battery materials.
