Reporting to the CEO, and as part of an establish executive team, this position will oversee day-to-day talent and corporate operations.

This will include responsibility for Talent Resources, Corporate Safety, Facilities and IT.

Accountability for developing and implementing plans to promote and strengthen our corporate culture and overseeing and reporting on all “softer side aspects of the business” is core to the role.Key responsibilities will include the following.Talent ResourcesPlan and execute recruitment initiatives to attract top talentLead talent support staff, to ensure the effectiveness of administrationPlan, develop, and implement market leading retention strategiesEnsure all staff are engaged and have a career development planPlan and deliver team building and corporate initiativesCorporate SafetyLead and ensure an effective and compliant corporate safety program is operational at all timesLead our safety program management team and contractors in the planning and administration of existing safety programsEnsure appropriate corporate safety plans, systems, processes, risk assessment, incident reporting and tools are in placeFacilities and ITManage all requirements and operations of office facilities, equipment, fleet, and IT hardware, software, and systems.Continually evaluate current and emerging office productivity tools relevant to our businessWork alongside sales and marketing teams to ensure we are using the best electronic marketing toolsRequired CredentialsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or relevant field.MBA, P.Eng, or PMP an asset.Required Qualifications10+ years of industry experience.

5+ years of which in a management role.Must currently be based in the Greater Vancouver area.Must have experience working at an intermediate level in a professional services practice.

Preferably in a technical field such as Power, Renewable Energy, Water, Municipalities, or similar heavy industry.Demonstrable competency in corporate operations.Solid understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Legal, Marketing etc.Working knowledge of business data analysis and performance/operation metrics.Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.Excellent team management and interpersonal skills.Appreciation for, and skills to manage, the intangible human side of the business.Able to communicate directly and professionally in high paced, high pressure, situations.Calm and balancedExcellent public speaking abilities.Excellent writing and speaking skills in English.Office Location: North Vancouver, BCAbout Maven Consulting LimitedMaven is a vibrant professional project management, procurement, and construction management company serving the power industry throughout western Canada.Based in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Maven has been recognized as the fastest growing profession services company in western Canada for 2019.We recognize that our clients need motivated and capable individuals to provide support to the capital projects they are undertaking.
