Compensation: 70K to 90K per annum plus bonus.

Location: 401 corridor: Kitchener Woodstock London.

Brantford is also a reasonable commute at 40 minutes.

A Plant Manager out of an automotive, heavy equipment or food production environment will be suitable.

Most Plant Managers will easily adapt as long as they have been in charge of a sizable plant.

Compensation is up to 90K per annum commensurate with experience plus a bonus of up to 15%.If you have 5 years or more experience as a Production Supervisor or Plant Manager in a manufacturing environment with experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing and you are able to articulate your successes, then our client will be interested in speaking to you.

Please forward your resume.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage a production shift ensuring that the employees are safe while quality products are manufactured efficiently and effectively.Meet production deadlines and fill orders.Schedule production demand and requirements on all equipment meeting customer order demand.Liaise with all manufacturing departments as necessary to meet customer demand.Anticipate and react to potential production interruptions.Work on continuous improvement initiatives using the PDCA iterative process (“plan–do–check–act” or “plan–do–check–adjust”) for problem solving.Manage employee relations on a professional respectable level, to include work team meeting facilitation for continuous improvement (CI) I and problem solvingSteer and execute training as requiredCoach / provide feedback as necessary to improve the production and quality levels of all supervisors.Ensure annual evaluations are completed for all production management team members.Emphasize measurement utilizing data to make improvements to the departmental processes.Manage the maintenance department ensuring maintenance requests on machines are done on a timely basis.Support and participate in the development and testing of new products.Quality Control:Ensure ISO 9002 Quality processes and programs are executed as required.Implement and monitor to ensure all finished product meets customer quality requirements.Work on continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and quantity of all product lines.Health & Safety:Manage the company’s Health & Safety process, housekeeping and environmental programs.Ensure company is in compliance with all internal safety policies and legislation.Monitor any WSIB issues, and liaise with WSIB adjudicators.Ensure all necessary workplace inspections are completed on monthly basis.Ensure recommendations from H& S Committee within time lines specified by the OHSA are completed.Attend all safety training as required.Must have working knowledge of all safety legislation and follow all safety policies.Ensure all employees follow company’s health and safety policies and procedures and report all violations.REQUIREMENTS:Minimum High School Diploma and then some post secondary educationMinimum 5 years experience in as a production supervisor or plant manager in a manufacturing environment (150 employees or more preferred).Experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
