Pipeline Technical Director

We’re looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

Provide technical support to artists Collaborate with the Pipeline & Technology team, Production Managers, and Supervisors to ensure timely resolutions to technical issues Support the company’s current technical capabilities and contribute to development of new tools and workflows Ensure requests for new tools and workflows align with the company’s development strategy, technology roadmap, and individual project or show requirements Write and maintain clear, accurate, and concise documentation Reports to the Head of Technology You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in VFX or animation production You demonstrate an aptitude for troubleshooting and creative problem-solving Have worked with Pipeline and R&D teams within the VFX/Animation industry or equivalent experience in a tech company You are a team player with excellent communication skills You are open to learning new tools and processes You have excellent time-management and task-prioritizing skills Experience with Python, PyQt, and PySide required Technical expertise in DCCs such as Maya, Nuke, Mari Experience with renderers such as Arnold, Redshift, etc, in a production environment Experience with render management software such as Deadline, Rush, OpenCue Experience with version control systems such as Git Experience with production tracking applications such as Shotgun, ftrack, NIM, as well as developing tools for communication between those applications and various DCCs (experience with Shotgun API and Shotgun Toolkit is a plus) Experience developing tools in a Windows and/or Linux environmen
