Agropur Truro has an opening for a Production Manager.

This is a permanent full-time position located in Truro, NS.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is a member of the Plant Senior Management Team and provides servant leadership, technical management and continuous improvement support for the production department.

Responsibilities Promote a positive work environment and adopt a culture of continuous improvement in areas of Health & Safety, Quality, Productivity and the Environment.

Provide coaching and support to direct reports on LEAN methodology and process improvement projects.

Develop, maintain and implement departmental budgets and cost reduction activities.

Work closely with Line Structure teams with implementation of the Autonomous Maintenance Pillar Review and approve all departmental Incident Reports and ensure all corrective actions drive to route cause.

Ensure Sanitary Maintenance schedules are respected and sanitary work orders are completed on time.

Support Line Structure teams in developing 5year Capex Plans.

Work closely with Corporate Engineering Team to identify cost out opportunities and site improvements initiatives.

Develop monthly Supervisor work schedule.

Works with Quality Assurance to manage production activities necessary for the effective implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality plans and pre-requisite programs.

Work with plant, corporate and client personnel to resolve day-to-day production tasks/needs as they arise.

Work directly with the Innovation and Product Development team on customer product initiatives, adjustments to process and raw material assessment.
