Job DescriptionSeeking a Program Management service provider with an extensive background in IT.

The PM service provider will execute best practices in the areas of project management, governance, guidelines, process and tools.

The Program Management service provider will provide project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle and will ensure the successful completion of the assigned large sized migration project.

The individual may be called upon to manage a variety of projects utilizing management best practices, processes and tools including the supervision of the project resources.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage large sized assigned projects Manage the project planning sessions to establish scope, assumptions, constraints, deliverables, interim milestones, work breakdown structure and timelines according to established project level categoryDevelop the work breakdown structure to manage projects and to facilitate communication with team members and stakeholdersPrepare the detailed project schedule based on best practices scheduling techniquesPrepare the resource plan and track resource utilizationPrepare all project documentation and obtain sign-off from the project sponsor where applicableMonitor, track and report on project risks and issuesSetup the issue log, risk log and other supporting project documentation based on size and complexity of projectSpecific Project RequirementsStrong understanding of IT projectsWork with architects, engineers, IT partners, and multiple third-party vendors to complete project requirementsManage provided budget and review multiple submissions with respect to productsEstablish the project control and monitoring guidelinesDevelop and monitor project Financials, providing monthly project financial reportingAnalyze variances and prepare action / recovery plans as appropriatePrepare weekly status updates and provide into to the senior management monthly project reviews, including updates on top issues, risks and variancesSupervise the project team members during the project duration and provide feedback on team member performanceActively promote best practices and project management competencyEnsure all the technical guidelines and standards are adhered toShare knowledge and project experiences with the project management communityApply project management discipline in accordance with project categorization guidelines Communication and Project Status Reporting Establish and manage the project communication plan for stakeholdersUtilize project management tools such as MPS to capture and report on the status of each project including all tasks and resource utilizationProvide weekly status reportsParticipate in Steering Committees and management review sessions as appropriatePrepare report analytics as per governance guidelinesSkillsSKILLS/ KNOWLEDGEProject management experience (process, tools and techniques)IT Governance and project delivery excellence best practicesOutcome drivenCoaching and mentoring skillsExperience supervising resourcesDemonstrated knowledge of the software development lifecycleNegotiation and influencing skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated excellent organizational skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsStrong team player_________________________________________________________________________________ EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE5 7 years of recently demonstrated project management competency as a project manager for ITPost-secondary education or equivalent combination of education/experiencePMP certification would be an asset
