Regional Technical Account Manager

Samsung is making big steps into enterprise mobility with a wide range of device and SW solutions. With the launch of Samsung KNOX™ and Samsung Pay, we are now looking for experienced and talented individuals for our Vancouver lab to design, develop, operate and support these new solutions in the global market.

Our Samsung Customer Operations team is looking for a Regional Technical Account Manager responsible for pre/post sales of Samsung Knox with a focus on new and existing B2B customers. In this role you will be responsible for supporting customers and internal teams across Central and Eastern Canada, as well as ensure proper pre sales support, proof of concept/technology evaluation, and deployment experience for customers migrating to Samsung enterprise solutions. This role will also function as an overall technical subject matter expert on Samsung mobile devices, MDM partners and provide deep dive technical expertise to support sales teams as well as providing deep dive technical training for internal and external customers.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for specific accounts in Central and Eastern Canada working in conjunction with Account Managers, Carrier Managers, Pre-Sales Engineers to ensure successful sales of Samsung Knox solutions and Samsung devices
  • Responsible for day to day handling and resolution of technical escalations from Samsung sales engineers in Central and Eastern Canada.
  • Responsible for pre sales technical support in full sales cycle including discovery, opportunity evaluation, pilot, and opportunity closure in both Enterprise and SMB accounts for Samsung KNOX
  • Deliver technical presentations, training, demos and product overviews and deep-dives on product features. Participate in events (i.e. customer events, tradeshows and training)
  • Conduct Proof of Concept technical evaluations to implement Samsung KNOX solution to demonstrate the ability to meet client objectives
  • Close collaboration with various internal Samsung B2B sales teams, (Pre-Sales, Direct, Carrier, and Channel) will be necessary to ensure alignment with stated sales goals and strategies
  • Manage a large volume of pre/post sales technical issues that may include compatibility issues with Samsung Knox, security issues and proof of concept issues.
  • Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of Samsung’s B2B product and service offerings
  • Moderate travel to partner/customer facilities, remote facilities, industry events, and trade shows (<20% travel)

Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to interact within all levels of a solution partner or customer organization, as well as internal Samsung sales organizations including technical sales engineers
  • Work independently in determining one’s personal work schedule to be productive.
  • Work in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team project milestones and to complete assignments within established time frames. 
  • Accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to search for optimal solutions, when only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems. 
  • Ability to make professional business presentations in writing, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to different audiences (technical and management)
  • Ability to understand new and complex technologies


  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering from accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years of experience in mobile solution sales and support with a technical/engineering background
  • 3+ years of experience working in the enterprise sales space with exposure to multiple industry
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales support experience or equivalent, preferably for both SAAS and enterprise, or on premise technology solutions
  • Experience with deployment of complex technical solutions in a large enterprise environment
  • Detailed technical knowledge of the wireless industry to include mobile hardware (Smartphones and Tablets), applications (OS and End-user Apps) and services.
  • Deep understanding of the integration of mobile solutions into corporate network environments and email platforms, mainly Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes
  • Efficient in troubleshooting application, device, and network communications
  • Knowledge of BES, MobileIron, Airwatch, SAP, Citrix, SOTI, MaaS360e and other MDM solutions
  • Understanding of web applications and their architecture and design
  • Experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite
  • Excellent proficiency in oral and written English, French language skills a plus
