Position Title: BilingualOutside Sales Business Development ManagerBranch: Dorval, Quebec Reports to:National Head of SalesObjectives of the Position:Generate gross profit and revenue growth by new client development and growing existing client business in line with Rhenus Air & Ocean growth strategy and the country sales budget.

Drive new business by managing face-to-face sales meetings with A & B Customers, building relationships, presenting recommendations for logistic solutions, and closing sales.Principle Accountabilities:Win, retain and develop customers through sales ” Hunting” activity by actively setting the appointments for face-to-face sales meetings with Customers and following the schedule laid by inside sales.Achieve a high win percentage of new business award while generating high GP margins for new and existing accounts which meet/exceed new business revenue goals.Have continuous engagement with customers to maintain close relationships and ensure ongoing success with accounts.Consult with several levels of decision-makers to understand customers’ business challenges and logistics goals.Build rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer’s business and the market and support customer retention through collaboration with all resources including our Product teams, other sales channels, and local Station Management.Assessing the prospective account as profitable, significant, or strategic in order to secure winning bidsBuild rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer’s business and the market and support customer retention through collaboration with all resources including our Product teams, other sales channels, and local Station Management.Responsible for increasing gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new customersRigorous follow-up of offers and client developmentMonitoring shipment cuts (lost clients) and implement counter measuresOngoing key customer analysisExecute strategic sales in line with the company growth planDevelop and implement strategies and tactics to meet and preferably, exceed the given targetsEnsure all sales activity (Meetings, Contact Reports, Opportunities, and Leads) are reported within the CRM System “Sugar CRM” (according to SUGAR SOP)Recommend solutions based on customer needs by using industry knowledgeManaging opportunities and risks securing the interests of Rhenus A& OTaking part inall sales trainings provided and scheduled by Rhenus A& OKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Requires a minimum of 1-3 years field sales in freight forwarding or two years of operational experienceUniversity degree, or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible experienceFluency in written and spoken English and French Previous experience selling in the logistics industry, specifically in the areas of retail warehousing and distribution, international and domestic freight, priority freight, and high risk/high-value cargo is considered an assetDecisions and Problem Solving – analyzing information, evaluating results and using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutionsResults Orientation – demonstrates a clear understanding of expected outcomes.
