Senior Communication Program and Project Manager Europe

For our Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting division, we are hiring a Senior Communication Project & Program Manager.

In this new role, you will be focusing on the design and delivery of multiple pan European communication projects and initiatives.

As a subject matter expert for the Tax and Accounting European communications, you will be responsible for managing European communication and brand initiatives and leading communication projects whilst supporting members of the European Management Team with their communication activity.

You will report into the Director Communications and Corporate Affairs and will work closely together with the local communications teams across Europe.

Since this is a European communications role, we are happy to welcome someone in one of the 7 countries where we have offices: UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Sweden, or Germany.

Essential duties and responsibilities Project Support (80%) Lead and manage key projects to include securing approval to commence work; tracking progress; executing deliverables in a quality and timely way; be accountable for end-to-end process Identify and analyze data to identify possible project risks and setbacks and recommend corrective actions Communicate project updates to key stakeholders throughout the process Provides data analysis, interpretations and generates progress reports Support for M&A activity in TAA Europe to include document analysis, operations integration and communications execution Work with key stakeholders to help pull together communication and brand activity Participate in cross-functional project teams designed to increase efficiencies Oversee initiatives and activities at the European level Develop action plan based on strategic projects and key deliverables Manage events, meetings and working sessions and results by coordinating with facilitators or leaders across EU functions to plan meeting/event and ensure assigned deliverables and duties emerging from the sessions are known and track completion of deliverables Communication Support (20%) Assist with European communications by drafting, reviewing and/or formatting communications (presentations, emails, speeches, reports, Excel spreadsheets); ensure a consistent and professional communication format is used; distributing reports and action items to the team/stakeholders as appropriate; compose and send independent responses to emails, when appropriate; field incoming correspondence (phone calls, faxes, email); complete deliverables in a timely and quality way Manages internal communication channels including teams sites, Yammer, newsletters, etc., and continuously evaluates and updates channel use to ensure effectiveness Develops deep organizational understanding and relationships to enhance communication.

Partners with other functions (HR, Marketing) to provide guidance and support on key initiatives Monitors, evaluates, and meets employee communication needs Experience: Minimum of five years of business experience or other related experience, supporting a global leader/team in a for-profit environment Critical thinking skills, solid judgment and creative problem-solving abilities are required Experience working successfully within a global, matrix organization with multiple product lines and a complex organizational structure Proven track record of success operating within a top-performing team/function especially in environments leveraging geographically dispersed teams 3 years of experience coordinating projects for a global leaders/team in a for-profit environment Extensive knowledge and prior use of Microsoft office suite products – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint as well as conference and web-based “live meetings” required.

Advanced proficiency in Excel is needed Must be knowledgeable about international travel including visas and making last minute travel plans and changes to itinerary Discretion and the sense of appropriateness of what can be communicated to whom is essential Ability to work “before and after hours” if necessary, for last minute changes to appointments or travel issues and/or time sensitive project work Flexible to handle changing priorities Education: Associates Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience with a focus on business, communications or related field is strongly preferred What’s in it for you We are a fast growing, financially healthy and listed organization.
