PositionSenior Product ManagerLocationNewmarket (Hybrid – Remote & In-Office)About the OrganizationSince 1888, Inscape has been designing products and services that are focused on the future, so businesses can adapt and evolve without investing in their workspaces all over again.  Our versatile portfolio includes systems furniture, storage, and walls – all of which are adaptable and built to last.  Inscape’s wide dealer network, showrooms in the United States and Canada, along with full service and support for all of our clients, enables us to stand out from the crowd.  We make it simple.  We make it smart.  We make our clients wonder why they didn’t choose us sooner. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team.About the Opportunity:The Senior Product Manager (SPM) acts like a CEO of the product and provides vision of what success of the product means and does – whatever it takes to ensure the vision becomes reality.  The SPM understands and balances factors that affect product strategy and execution including: company goals & capabilities, customer demand and competition.  They are a natural leader and facilitator that has experience with conflict resolution and leading a cross functional team (Industrial Design, Finance Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.) through conceptualization, design and launch of new products in a collaborative manner. Responsibilities & what you’ll be doing:  * Ensure that all supporting departments understand their responsibilities and the required timeframes associated with their deliverables and schedules are met* Ensure meetings are efficient, with actions and decisions clearly documented, communicated, and closed* Identify project risks and either facilitates the resolution of issues or escalates them to ensure launches are on time, on budget and on brief* Systematically review project plans to identify opportunities to streamline offerings, reduce cost, increase margins, increase lead-times or improve quality* Plan, communicate, maintain, and optimize the project scope and objectives based on Product Development Outline (PDO) or Business Case* Continuously improve Product Launch process by facilitating post launch reviews and ensure process improvement actions are communicated and systematized* Maintain and enhance project management tools (best practices, templates, software etc.)* Good at developing and implementing product marketing plans to generate product awareness and demand* Support sales with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise for client facing presentations, RFP responses, training, mock up coordination, positioning etc. to advance knowledge and visibility and win ratio of the product/category* Work with Finance to develop margin and ROI analysis, pricing strategies and sales forecast to meet revenue and profit goals* Oversee and control Product Data structure* Work in conjunction with other product category product managers to ensure synergies and improved visibility* Coordinate market research and user feedback to stay current and to inform product refinements and ongoing developmentKnowledge, Skills & Qualifications* 5+ years of Product Management experience (Contract Furniture Systems business preferred)* University degree in a relevant field and/or postgraduate degree (MBA) preferred but not required* Knowledge and experience with the Design and Development processes and materials associated with a manufacturing organization, ideally commercial furniture* Strategic and analytical thinker and uses empirical, analytical, or computational methods to understand and solve problems or improve processes while keeping the overall mission in sight* Strong problem-solving skills* The ability to work and perform with minimal supervision* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills* Enthusiastic, creative, hard-working* Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and cloud-based data management and workflow tools – but especially Excel and pivot tables* Ability to travel internationally (infrequent) for trade shows, events and/or customer meetings* Experience in organizations with design driven products, and a technology/engineering orientationPlease note: prior to onsite interviews, candidates will be required to submit a portfolio (example of a business case developed & data analysis conducted). Like what you’re hearing so far, but still wondering if Inscape is right for you?  We also offer:    * A competitive base salary and comprehensive health benefits;* Work-life balance with flexible work hours;* Support of continuing education training and programs;* Ongoing on-the-job learning and development;
