Sr Operations Manager

Bank of America

This is a Contract position in Devon, AB posted November 22, 2022.

Job Description: Manage a team of 10-12 associates in a complex Phone Unit servicing external parties such as Law Enforcement, Agencies, Attorneys and Internal Business Partners related to legal orders served on the bank.

May report to a group operations manager or a Sr.

Operations Manager.

Involved in a variety of projects.

Responsible for expense management, enterprise management, and building business/client relationships.

Oversees daily activities ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards and adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g.

client inquiries, transaction research).

Develops and implements new processes/procedures to improve operating efficiency and to ensure timeliness and accuracy of workflow.

Decisions impact multiple product lines, customers, and associates.

Modifies existing procedures and analyzes and resolves non-routine and/or moderately complex operational problems often requiring research and involvement from other business functional experts.

Requires thorough operations knowledge of specific products/ services line managed, usually gained through operations experience.

Forecast / manage staffing levels and capacities.

Responsible for performance management.

Six Sigma preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience preferred with 3-5 years supervisory experience.

Required Skills: Recent 3-5 years prior management or line of business experience, including coaching and leadership experience Proficient in Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint , etc.

Strong written and verbal communication to tailor communications to audience, actively listen and follow-up with questions and updates to involved parties.

Previous retail banking, operational or analytical experience.

Strong negotiation skills.

Deadline driven and able to work under pressure.

Able to foster and grow business relationships with different LOBs.

Desired Skills: Experience with legal documents is helpful.

Ability to drive optimum accuracy and efficiency.

Flexible to meet varying hours/days, when necessary.

Past experience communicating with law enforcement officials, internal/external attorneys and state/government agencies.
