EngineeringHalifax, NS, Montreal, QC, Ottawa, ON10933BRAbout the roleReporting to the Documentation Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for supervising personnel and all processes related to capturing requirements, monitoring development and delivery of S1000D publications, and assessing effectiveness and quality of products.Responsible for the assigned team meeting quality, cost and schedule requirements for assigned projectsEfficiently allocating resources to meet product deliveryAssigning work to each employee according to their specialization and knowledge of the required tools while providing best value to customer requirementsResponsible for promoting a team atmosphere focused on innovation, customer satisfaction and efficient work effortCommunicating to upper management goals, objectives, metrics and estimates of new work for approvalAbility to communicate with a cross functional team including Integrated Logistics Support, Training, Engineering Subject Matter Experts, Engineering Application Management and the CustomerMonitoring demand from customers and programs and ensuring staffing is adequate for anticipated workPerforming other duties as assignedWhat you bring to the roleMust have intimate knowledge of the S1000D International Specification for Technical PublicationsMust have experience in S1000D Authoring including business rules and management of large technical publication projectsMust have experience in creation of S1000D Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs)Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian government security clearancesStrong verbal communication, writing and presentation skillsExperience in team driven process improvement methodologiesAdditional skills desired for the roleExperience in the defence industryFamiliar with HiCo Content Suite and X-Browser Pro, or other S1000D CSDB Publishing SuiteSolid foundation in S1000D issues 4.1 and 5.0What we offer youWe walk our talk when it comes to work/life balance Your physical, mental and financial wellbeing matters to us.
