This is a Contract position in Surrey, BC posted January 24, 2023.

VENUES GENERAL MANAGER Hours: 37 per week with occasional evening and weekend working as required Contract: Permanent Salary: £42,503
– £47,573 per annum (City Pay Band 7) Primary Location: Cambridge Closing Date: 12 noon, 23 January 2022 Interviews: 3 rd February 2023 The Corn Exchange is not just the biggest venue in the area it is also the busiest.

We put on a whole range of events from the latest bands to children’s theatre, from huge corporate events to graduation ceremonies, from classical concerts to raves, weddings, parties and conferences.

With new and exciting projects in the pipeline, we are looking for someone extraordinary with a passion for working in the events industry and a drive to deliver exceptional service.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the management and delivery of the Cambridge Corn Exchange and Guildhall halls as well as leading the venues management team.

You will join us with experience of working in a commercial environment and taking a proactive approach to financial success.

In addition, we will look to you to build strong and effective working relationships and to develop strategies and plans for the long-term development and success of the venues.

Our ideal candidate will have the ability to deal with change and support new ways of working as well as the ability to inspire trust, confidence, respect and credibility from a range of people.
